After two years, I switched back from Hexo to https://github.com/mx-space
I haven't written many articles, but I sure changed systems quite a lot
I migrated the original Hexo page views and comment data over as well
The articles originally used many butterfly plugin tags, which caused the current formatting to break, so I adapted them one by one
I also just casually made an Equipment Showcase page, and combined with the quote reply feature written by Innei, (I really love this feature) I also hid some subtle little design ideas in the interface design
Because it benefits from having a built-in Webhook, Memos can now be completely abandoned, and the casual thoughts channel can be synced and updated again afterward
Before I knew it, this blog has been around for about 8 years, from 2017 until now. During that time, it went through two data losses. Back then, daily active traffic stayed at around 200, and in 2022 I decided to throw away all the previous data and start over
Nearly a year has passed this year, and I still haven't published a single article
In 2025, I went through many things and learned quite a lot too. I'll tell those stories slowly later on
Let me talk about recently instead
In September, a sudden change caused my ICP registration to be canceled, which in turn led to nearly 90% of my websites going offline Fortunately, these services were all small personal projects for my own use and not essential, so I simply gave up maintaining all of those sites Only the blog has always held deep feelings for me. Although I haven't updated it much, I've always felt that it's like a business card—blog records = understanding the most subtle parts of me
I've always felt that words have power. Even if what I wrote at the time was just a pile of nonsense, when I look back at it a few years later, that feeling is still there It's the same reason I like recording life through photography: light and shadow can freeze a moment, and words can do the same.
When I was checking and restoring my blogroll data, I accidentally discovered that about 70% of some friends from the same period had lost contact. Maybe some sites were shut down for various reasons, or maybe they just didn't want to write blogs anymore It seems that in this age of information overload, stopping to carefully write a good article has also become a luxury
