After two years, I've switched back to https://github.com/mx-space from Hexo.
I haven't written many articles, but I've changed systems quite a few times.
I've migrated the page view counts and comment data from my old Hexo setup.
Previously, I used many custom shortcode tags from Butterfly, which caused formatting issues—these have now been individually adjusted and fixed.
I just wrote a device showcase page, and combined it with the quote reply feature created by Innei (I really love this feature). There are also some subtle design details hidden throughout the interface.
Thanks to the built-in Webhook support, I can finally retire Memos completely—my "random thoughts" channel can now stay in sync again.
Unbelievably, it's been about eight years since I started this blog back in 2017. Over the years, I've suffered two major data losses. At one point, I maintained around 200 daily active users. In 2022, I decided to abandon all previous data and start fresh.
It's almost been a year now, and I still haven't published a single article.
2025 has brought many changes and taught me a lot—I'll share more stories in due time.
Let me talk about recent events.
In September, an unexpected incident led to the cancellation of my ICP license, causing nearly 90% of my websites to go offline. Fortunately, these were mostly personal side projects and not essential services, so I simply gave up maintaining them altogether.
Yet I've always had a deep emotional attachment to my blog. Even though it's been inactive, I still see it as a kind of business card—my blog is the closest record to understanding the most intimate details about me.
I've always believed words carry power. Even if what I wrote once seemed like nonsense, looking back years later, that feeling still remains.
It's the same reason I enjoy photography—light and shadow can freeze a moment in time, and so can words.
While recently restoring my blogroll data, I accidentally discovered that about 70% of my peers from that time have gone silent. Some may have shut down their sites for various reasons, while others might have simply stopped blogging.
In this age of information overload, taking the time to calmly write an article has somehow become a luxury.
